The state-of-the-art equipment powered by RefineTek has been delivered to Fengsheng Co, and installed recently and will be put into use soon.
In this process, LNG BOG is used as the initial feed gas. After multiple pre-treatment and pre-purification, gas mixtures containing relatively high concentration of He/H2, with a large amount of impurities including CH4 and N2. He/H2 is extracted by membrane separation plus PSA, hydrogen-adsorbent and cryogenic-TSA purification system, separately. The purity of gasous helium can be up to more than 5N.
As we all know, for the separation of He and H2, the traditional solution is to add additional O2, and then oxidize H2 into H2O through copper oxide or palladium catalysis or combustion, and then remove H2O and excess O2 respectively, so as to achieve the purpose of removing H2 from He.
In this scheme, specialty materials are used to separate H2 and He without combustion or catalysis, and the whole separation process is carried out at the temperature of circulating water, with high safety, high operational flexibility, low technical risk, and reliable performance.
The smooth delivery of this batch of equipment is not only an important milestone marking the cooperation between the two sides, but also indicates that the Fengsheng Project will usher in a new stage of production efficiency and quality improvement.
